Fast-tracking Employment in Canada for Skilled Immigrants: Introducing the FAST Program

If you are a newcomer to Canada, or in the process of get the permanent resident status, welcome to learn more of the FAST program, which is funded by the Government of Canada.

FAST (Facilitating Access to Skilled Talent) is a FREE, online, self-competency assessment program for skilled immigrants in IT & Data Services, Biotech & Life Sciences, Accounting & Finance, Culinary Arts, Skilled Trades and Seniors Care. FAST can not only help you understand how your work experience and training meets Canadian standards in your sector but will also provide you with access to a variety of free resources such as networking events, professional designations, and much more to help you reach your employment goals in Canada!

About the Speaker: Kim Tobin  – She is a Project Coordinator for the FAST program, and its subprogram SPRINT, with the Immigrant Employment Council of BC (IEC-BC). Kim works daily to ensure that newcomers to Canada reach their employment goals by providing additional resources and tools to ensure that newcomers are as prepare as possible to enter the Canadian workforce.
