In this webinar, Next Stop Canada Youth Information and Referral Specialists, Kasthuri Jeyaraj and Kathleen Velasco, will provide an overview of your post-secondary education options in Canada. They will give some insight into the post-secondary education system, including the distinction between Canadian universities and colleges, the credentials that can be acquired, as well as bridging programs, career training and much more.
About the Speakers:
Kathleen Velasco is a Certified Youth Information and Referral Specialist at Next Stop Canada. Based out of Toronto, Ontario, Kathleen works with pre-arrival immigrant youth, adults, and families to help them prepare for life in Canada. In addition to information and referral provision, Kathleen helps co-coordinate the Next Stop Canada Youth Program. She has a passion for contributing to the development of a society in which all individuals feel welcomed, included, and have access to opportunities to shine.
Kasthuri Jeyaraj is a Certified Youth Information and Referral Specialist at Next Stop Canada. In her current role, she supports pre-arrival youth and their families to prepare for life in Canada. Kasthuri has been working with youth for over 7 years with a focus on employment and newcomer programs. As a previous newcomer herself, she has a passion to use that experience and the challenges she and her family faced to help support other newcomer youth and their families.
