About the Speakers:
Jason Cheng – Talent Acquisition Partner
Jason has been in the IT recruiting industry for 19 years. He joined IBM in 2015 first as a Talent Sourcer and now as a Principal Talent Acquisition Partner. He’s well versed in the IT industry having previously worked at organizations such as Microsoft, Accenture, CGI and Accenture. On a personal note, he’s equal parts technology nerd, outdoorsman and cruise ship fanatic. You’ll often find him staying up all night to be the first order the newest iPhone online, RV’ing across Canada or cruising the seas around the world.
Arshdeep Kaur – Talent Acquisition Sourcer at IBM
Arshdeep has been in IT recruitment for over 5 years. She completed her Bachelor of Technology from India and decided to pursue a career in recruitment. She joined IBM’s Talent Acquisition team earlier this year and while her main focus has been in Systems and Security Business Units, she has recruited for many areas of business from Consulting to Watson AI and Cloud. Being an immigrant to Canada herself, she has seen the struggle and loves helping other immigrants in landing their first job including advising them on their resumes and connecting them with roles at IBM. In her role, she partners with Hiring Managers to understand their needs and ensure that the team finds the right candidate that will continue to represent IBM’s reputable brand.
